Emma Purshouse
Emma Purshouse is currently the Poet Laureate for the City of Wolverhampton. She is an award winning writer who writes for both children and adults. Her most recent poetry collection is ‘Close’ (Offa’s Press). Her first novel ‘Dogged’ (Iginite Books) was published early in 2021. Emma has performed her work at spoken word nights and festivals across the UK.
Dan Keding
Internationally acclaimed American storyteller, member of America’s storytelling ‘Circle of Excellence’. Dan has published a host of award-winning folk tales collections and tells a mixture of personal stories and traditional stories from around the world, including traditional stories that his grandmother brought to this country from Croatia. A well-respected ballad singer, he accompanies himself on guitar, banjo and spoons.
Rien Van Meensel
Rien Van Meensel is a multi-lingual storyteller, who has told throughout Europe. She has been working with Get A Word In Edgeways on our schools programme, teaching children French through story and inspiring hundreds of Shropshire children with the fun of playing with words, culture and language.
Cath’s Cupboard of Customs
Each month Cath’s Cupboard of Customs will highlight some traditions, lore and customs that are in keeping with the time of year.
