THIS THURSDAY!!!!! What a fantastic line-up we’ve got at Red Shed Readings. Dave Pitt is a playwright, performance poet, and former stand-up comedian from Wolverhampton. He’s almost certainly gigged or had work performed near you. His pamphlet ‘If Poetry is Jazz; Welcome to Punk Rock’ was published in 2017. Expect loud and proud performance pieces. Expect football, tattoos, and rage against the internet.
Emma Purshouse is a performance poet from the Black Country. She performs her work the length and breadth of the country, and is a poetry slam champion (having most recently won the Shambala Festival Slam 2018). She writes for children and adults. In 2016 her children’s poetry collection won the Rubery Book Award for poetry. In 2017 she won the ‘Making Waves’ international spoken word poetry competition judged by Luke Wright. Her first full collection with Offa’s Press has just been published.
Ichabod is a musical artist quite unique in style and content.
