Caffe Grande Slam

The 2nd night of The Caffe Grande Slam is on the 23rd of February and do we have a treat in store! [Very much so] Our headline poet is the excellent local published poet Emma Purshouse – a multiple poetry slam winner. We also have music from the brilliant Jessica Law. We are also featuring 10 minutes of the winner from January’s event – the fantastic Ben Moore!

Verve Poetry Festival

Join us for readings from our 2016 and 2017 laureates as well as regional professional poet Emma Purshouse.

Literature Festival Slam

Join your MCs, Steve Pottinger, Dave Pitt and Emma Purshouse for a slamtastic Lit Fest Sunday. Witness 15 poets battle it out in a live poetry competition to become the Wolverhampton Literature Festival Slam Champion for 2017.

Come along and be bedazzled by bardic bravery, give your vote to a valourous versifier, whoop for a wordsmith. Who wins? The audience decides.

Black Country Voices

Emma will be reading from ‘The Nailmakers’ Daughters’ a collection of Black Country poetry featuring Emma, Iris Rhodes and Marion Cockin (published by Offa’s Press). The Nailmakers will be supporting Black Country poet and musician, Dave Reeves.

The Life of Langley Cartoonist Charlie ‘Chas’ Grigg
