Join Multistory for a guided walk around Tipton where poets and performers will bring to life the facts and fables, the truth and tall stories of Tipton, now and then. Appearing alongside Emma Purshouse, will be Billy Spakemon, Jacky Fellows, Brendan Hawthorne, Casey Bailey, Dave Pitt, Kuli Kohli and Roy MacFarlane.
The walk starts at The Fountain Inn at 11am, 1pm and 3pm and will run for approximately 1 hour. Booking your time slot is essential when you select your ticket.
Tipton Tales is a book of newly commissioned poetry about the town of Tipton, curated by poet Emma Purshouse. Emma is part of the Black Country collective Poets, Prattlers, and Pandemonialists whose main aim is to take poetry to people, rather than to wait for people to come to poetry. The book features work by Emma and also work by commissioned poets that Emma has invited to take part. Each of the featured poets has a deep-rooted connection to, and a respect and love of, the region.
The ticket price of £5 includes a copy of Tipton Tales.
NB: this is an outdoor walk and the route follows a canal tow path with uneven surfaces so please wear suitable footwear and clothing. Please get in touch, in advance, if you are in a wheelchair so we can make appropriate arrangements.
