Top-notch spoken word featuring… Willis the Poet, Marianne Burgess, Dave Pitt, and Jeremy Grant. Open Mic available on the door. This is a pay as you feel event as part of the Poets, Prattlers, and Pandemonialists Black Country Broadsheet project. The project has been supported using public funding by Arts Council England.

We have two boat related professional poets. Emma Purshouse is a black country poet who lived on a canal boat until recently. Mark Goodwin currently lives on a narrowboat close to Leicester. They will be ably supported by several signed-up-in-advance open mic slots. cost is £12.50 per ticket.

Steve Pottinger, Emma Purshouse, and Dave Pitt have played festivals to riotous acclaim throughout the Midlands and beyond.
Support will be provided by poetry from Otley-based publishers Half Moon Books with readings from Nick Allen, Sarah L Dixon, Joe Williams, (Ilkley Literature Festival Open Mic winner 2017)and Alicia Fernández (Ilkley Literature Festival Chap Book Competition Winner 2017).
