An opportunity to meet and work with Emma Purshouse, Wolverhampton’s Poet Laureate 2020 – 2022. Emma will be helping families to contribute their ideas for a poem being created to mark the centenary of the Kingswood Trust. The poem will then go into a time capsule to be buried in July 2023 with an instruction to dig it up in 50 years time!
Red Imp branches out into the realms of rhyme with the UK’s most rock n roll poet MURRAY LACHLAN YOUNG.
A brilliantly talented, original poet, playwright and broadcaster. Murray is the current poet in residence with BBC Radio 6 music and regularly appears on BBC 5 Live and BBC Radio 4.
His celebrated live performances of poems such as ‘The Life & Death of Art’, ‘Simply Everyone’s Taking Cocaine’ and ‘Casual Sex’ have already entered into contemporary consciousness and established him as a cult figure. His razer-sharp verse is snappy, witty and richly satirical, but also at times romantic, serious and heartfelt.
He’s joined by Wolverhampton’s first poet laureate EMMA PURSHOUSE who is a multi award winning poet and published writer, not to mention slam champion.
And STEVE POTTINGER who is also a celebrated poet, author and viral Nero nemesis check out https://stevepottinger.co.uk/coffee/
